The Long Island Gaming League Presents: Dojo Rivals Season One

If you want to talk about competitive gaming royalty, you need to take a walk down
memory lane. Toss out your Fortnites and your COD Warzone’s and travel back to
an era dominated by arcade classics and beat-em-ups. Fighting games were one of
the champions of this era, offering simple and accessible gaming that was easy to
learn but tricky to master, making it an ideal candidate for gaming competitions.
Now fast forward to 2021, fighting games are still present in the gaming community
and are more stylish, realistic and fun than ever before. They are still a staple of the
Esports community and with that in mind, we want to introduce you to a new
competition that places fighting games front and center. We introduce to you, Dojo
Rivals.

What is Dojo Rivals Season One?
Dojo rivals season one is the initial competitive season of a brand new fighting
game based league. This competition takes place over the course of three months,
where the worlds most elite fighting game enthusiasts will compete against each
other, test their skill levels and earn rankings based on their results in these
matchups. This is an open tournament that anyone can participate in and if you
place well, you could earn yourself a spot in Long Islands most prestigious fighting
game tournament, The Dojo Storm.

What Games Are Featured at Dojo Storm?
The two games featured at this tournament will be the wonderful Street Fighter V
and the new fighting game on the block Guilty Gear: Strive which just released on
the 11th of June. So you will see players with well established tactics and strategies
in Street Fighter V. Whereas in GG Strive, you will see exciting gameplay with
players still trying to work out the best methods for success. We can already tell
that it’s going to be a brilliant showcase of what both these games have to offer.

How to I Enter The Dojo?
Registration for this tournament is live now and is set to begin in less than a month.
